This program delves into the poetic theme of resilience through a series of captivating animated films. With each film, we invite you to explore the profound capacity to endure, adapt, and emerge stronger in the face of life's most formidable challenges.

We start with the melodies of Mais un oiseau ne chantait pas, a visual interpretation that conveys hope amid the chaos of war, and then move on to the shadows of An Excavation of Us, which illuminates the inspiring legacy of Marie Jeanne, a warrior of the Haitian Revolution.

Continuing with Nutag-Homeland, a visual poem that portrays the resilience of the Kalmyk people as they confront displacement and loss. The journey culminates with Femelles, a documentary that unveils the poignant, humorous, and heart-wrenching moments in the lives of mothers.

Collectively, these films depict the unwavering strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity and struggle, showcasing film animation as an exceptional medium to evoke emotions, craft imaginative universes, and infuse poetry into these narratives of resilience.
